ABOUT US

Hola Lola was established in 2017 by Joel Simon.

Joel is a multi award-winning filmmaker who has directed animated programs for Children In Need, BBC ONE, Channel 4, Comic Relief, the NHS and Discovery Channel.

Joel's portfolio includes commercials, TV series and short films such as the IFTA-winning HORN OK PLEASE and MACROPOLIS. Joel's films have been shown internationally at film festivals in Berlin, London, Mumbai, Aspen, Qatar, and San Francisco amongst others.

Joel regularly speaks at animation and storyboarding workshops for organisations such as the British Council, BBC Digital Cities and Cinemagic UK.

At Hola Lola, we have worked on over 90 projects to date, including information videos, children's series and motion graphics for feature films.
